Screenshots, Privacy, and Takedowns

Understand when PicoPaw reads the screen, where screenshots may go, and how rights issues are handled.

When screenshots happen

When screenshots are enabled, PicoPaw reads the current screen only when it needs the screen to answer your question.

Each question reads the current screen once. Normal questions may not need a screenshot.

Where screenshots may go

When a question needs screen context, the screenshot may be sent to the model provider you selected.

A model provider is the backend service that understands the question and returns an answer. Only connect providers you trust.

Local storage

PicoPaw does not save screenshots as local records.

Rights takedown

If a public pet infringes your legal rights, use the takedown entry or project contact channel to submit details and proof of ownership.

After receiving the request, administrators will review it, hide the pet when needed, and keep a handling record.
