Set Up Model Providers

Connect PicoPaw to a backend you already configured, so the pet can answer questions.

Check before you start

This currently works for users who have already configured PicoClaw, OpenClaw, or Hermes.

You only need to enter the backend name in PicoPaw settings.

1. Find the small PicoPaw icon on your desktop, right-click it, and choose Settings.

2. Open AI Chat. This option controls the question-answering feature.

3. Set the model provider to Pico.

4. Enter the PicoClaw path in Program Path.

5. Save the settings, then restart the pet.

In most cases, OpenClaw and Hermes do not need a program path.

If they do not work, you can manually enter the OpenClaw or Hermes executable path in settings, then save and restart the pet.
